The classic bentwood chair sculpts updated curves in our chair. Inspired by the warm simplicity of Scandinavian design, the dining chair traces graceful lines that flow legs into arms and creates a double-layered back for added interest and support. Made of ash, the bentwood frame is lightly wire brushed and given a low-sheen natural finish.
The dining chair's rattan came from Indonesian, sustainably sourced rattan, whose charming greyish tone perfectly complements the classic design language of the chair. The back and seat of the rattan chair are hand-woven, making each chair one of a kind, with the natural material adding to the chair's unique charm: rattan is characterised by a lively surface with varying shades or annual growth rings
Rattan is a tropical species of wood that thrives best in slightly humid conditions – the chair should therefore not be placed next to a fireplace or other heat source. In outdoor use, rattan tolerates temperature fluctuations well, but it is advisable to place the rattan furniture under a canopy, for example, to protect it from the scorching sun as well as rain and snow. The garden chair can also be protected with a weather-resistant cover or stored indoors when not in use.
